The Experience
more than the hour we spend together
A portrait session begins long before I pick up my camera.
From planning what to wear and choosing a location that fits your family, to gentle guidance during your session and deciding how your photographs will be preserved afterward, you won't be left wondering what comes next.
My approach is personal, relaxed, and centered around the people I'm photographing—leaving room for children to be themselves, for connection to unfold naturally, and for you to simply be present with the people you love.

1. INQUIRE
Once I receive your inquiry, we'll connect to talk about your family, what you're hoping to preserve, and the vision you have for your session. I'll guide you through choosing the right session, location, and date, while answering any questions you may have.
Once booked, you'll receive my preparation guide as well as an introduction to the heirloom artwork and collections available to you, so you'll know what to expect from the very beginning.

2. planning
Together, we'll thoughtfully plan the details of your session, from wardrobe and location to the little touches that make the experience feel like your family. You'll receive personalized styling guidance and access to my curated client wardrobe for mothers and little ones.
Everything is prepared ahead of time so that when your session arrives, you can simply be present.

3. session day
On the day of your session, there's nothing left for you to do but love on your people. I'll gently guide you when needed while leaving room for connection, movement, and the moments that naturally unfold between you.
My hope is that the memories made during our time together become just as meaningful as the photographs themselves.

4. the reveal
Your photographs become something you can hold.
About three weeks after your session, we'll meet virtually for your private gallery reveal and Artwork Ordering Appointment. Together, we'll view your photographs, choose the images you most want to preserve, and explore the artwork that best tells your family's story.
I'll guide you through your collection options—including heirloom albums, fine art prints, wall art, and digital photographs—and help you create something meaningful for your home and family.

5. your heirlooms
Once your artwork has been carefully created, your finished pieces will be ready to take their place in your home. From albums meant to be held and revisited to fine art prints and framed photographs that become part of your everyday surroundings, these are pieces created to last beyond this season.
My hope is that years from now, your family will still be turning the pages, passing the frames in the hallway, and remembering exactly what this chapter felt like.
